Black Dice – Smiling Off Remix

What genre should Black Dice be filed under? Answer’s on a postcard to the normal address please. On the basis of ‘Smiling Off’ you could probably make a bid for some kind of honky-tonk-glam-disco-post-punk, but that would require you to continently overlook the coconut horse hooves. Either way it’s a fine hunk of something, backed up here by a wonderful remix from Vladislav Delay wearing his Luomo blazer (a glittering tech-house-honed gem), the obligatory DFA overhaul (some pelvis thrusting disco sleaze), a sinister beat spectrum from ZZ Pot, and a load of multimedia stuff that made my computer freeze with terror. Say cheese!
